It’s simple: We identify our community’s most pressing challenges and greatest opportunities in order to help Jews in need and ensure our Jewish future. We educate our youth, connect our seniors and assist those most at risk. We unite our community and serve through Tikkun Olam. As a result, we have made a lasting impact in Eastern Connecticut, Israel and more than 70 countries around the world for decades. Take a look at what we do and how you can get involved—your Federation Family welcomes our heroes.
Strochlitz Holocaust Resource Center
Our flagship series that educates youth about the events of the holocaust and the dangers or racism and discrimination.
The Senior Kosher Hot Lunch program connects Jewish seniors with other older adults and their Jewish roots. We integrate crafts, music and cooking to bring about a wonderful environment of Yiddishkeit.
Plays, music, or a stroll on Main Street in a beautiful town are some of the programs accessible to our seniors for an extra affordable cost, thanks to the Jewish Federation and its partners. The seniors have opportunities for culture and pleasure being brought to them to enjoy, whether a program or a culinary adventure, all with great company convenience and safety.
Jewish FilmFest
Celebrating 27 years of Jewish history, culture, and identity, JFEC annually presents the Jewish FilmFest of Eastern CT, which features award-winning international dramas and documentaries, including highly-acclaimed Israeli films.
The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) builds bridges of understanding and communication within our Jewish community and beyond to the general community.
