
Barbara Wolfe, after five plus years as coordinator decided it was time to retire so she could spend more time with her grandkids and husband Scott. During Barbara’s tenure, she grew the PJ program from a group of just a few families to over a hundred. Many of those families participated in the monthly programs that Barbara ran.
Elizabeth Miller is the new PJ Library Coordinator at JFEC.
Liza currently lives in Groton with her husband and one year old daughter. She attended the University of Connecticut where she received her master’s in educational psychology and special education. Over the past 10 years, Liza has held several positions as a special education teacher and paraprofessional for elementary, middle and high schools around Norwich and Groton.
Liza is a member of Temple Beth El where she served on the board’s membership committee and programming committee. She was the lead organizer of Jews and Brews to bring together young adults for social interaction and Jewish content.
She has worked with the Special Olympics Sailing Team where she sailed weekly during summers in a four-person boat with another volunteer coach and two special needs individuals and one all day racing regatta in the fall against other CT Special Olympics teams. Liza studied sociology at Smith College.
She is very excited to join the JFEC team to welcome the youngest members of our community through PJ Library. She is looking forward to meeting the young families and organizing activities around the region.
