The Jewish Federation of Eastern Connecticut (JFEC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that supports humanitarian, social service and educational efforts in Eastern CT, Israel and worldwide. Locally, we provide direct services to seniors, adults and youth through a variety of programs and activities, and we provide a living bridge to Israel through our Partnership programs.

A lay Board of Directors and officers governs the Federation.

The JFEC is a member agency of the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut.

Two FREE screenings: 9:30am and 6:30pm

Garde Arts Center

This free screening for high school students and the greater New London community is offered by the  filmmaker in association with the Garde Arts Center, the Jewish Federation of Eastern Connecticut (JFEC) International Film Festival, and the  Encountering Survivors Program of the Strochlitz Holocaust Resource Center of the JFEC. The Encountering Survivors Program provides intimate conversations with Holocaust survivors or children of survivors in which  personal stories are shared that reflect on life before the war, during the war and afterwards in their new life in America.

 

The Garde screening is dedicated to  Herbert Friedman, Lilli Friedman Sigel, Leo Bretholz and all those who have lived full lives never forgetting those who could not.
