Ahavath Achim Announces Schedule of Services

Congregation Ahavath Achim Synagogue invites all members of the Jewish faith and their families to join us in celebrating the High Holiday Services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The congregation is pleased to open its doors during this very sacred time of observance so that all who want to participate in services and Yizkor during the holidays may have an opportunity to do so.

Rabbi Ken Alter who has served the Jewish Community at Ahavath Achim Synagogue for 25 years will conduct services. This year we welcome back Cantor Lori Weber from New Rochelle, NY, to assist Rabbi Alter with services.

The year 5780 will be ushered in on Sunday evening, September 29, 2019, with a Rosh Hashanah evening
service beginning at
7:00 pm.

On Monday and Tuesday, September 30 and October 1, the Rosh Hashanah morning services will commence at 8:30 am.

On Tuesday evening, October 8 at 6:00 pm, the Kol Nidre service will start the observance of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

At 8:30 am Wednesday October 9, the Yom Kippur service will commence, followed by a Yizkor Memorial Service. The concluding Mincha service will start at 5:00 pm the same day. There will be a break-the-fast meal immediately following the service.
