Based on Jewish values, The Jewish Federation of Eastern Connecticut convenes, connects and leads the community and leverages its resources to assure the continuity of the Jewish people, support a secure State of Israel, care for Jews in need here and abroad, and mobilize on issues of concern to the local community, all with our local, national, and international partners.
Guided by the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Tzedakah (righteous giving), our purpose is to mobilize human and financial resources to support, strengthen, and meet the shared responsibilities of our community. Seeking to strengthen Jewish identity, the Federation serves as the facilitating force that connects generations, congregations and the unaffiliated alike.
Our team is made up of smart, passionate, and dedicated employees. Every day our team strives to strengthen our community and brighten the lives of those we interact with. We create events to foster new relationships, help community members in need, and connect different organizations to maximize their effect. It is a full time job that we love doing. We would love to share some of our stories and experiences with you.
The Jewish Federation of Eastern Connecticut is entrusted with managing the philanthropic resources of our community. In keeping with our commitment to accountability and transparency, our audited financial statements and IRS 990 forms are available here.
